Dashboard¶
The Dashboard provides a quick overview of your project status and serves as your home base in Asset Optics.
Overview¶
When you open Asset Optics and select a project, the Dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of:
- Project Name: Currently selected project
- Active Milestone: Your current focus milestone
- Task Summary: Counts by status (Todo, In Progress, Blocked, Done)
- Recent Activity: Latest task updates
- Quick Actions: Common tasks like creating tasks or milestones
Project Status¶
The top section shows your overall project health:
Task Breakdown¶
A visual breakdown of tasks by status:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Todo | Tasks waiting to be started |
| In Progress | Currently active work |
| Blocked | Tasks stuck on dependencies |
| Done | Completed tasks |
Active Milestone¶
Shows the currently active milestone with:
- Milestone name
- Due date
- Progress percentage
- Visual progress bar
Quick Actions¶
The Dashboard provides shortcuts for common actions:
- Create Task: Jump directly to task creation
- View Planning Board: Open the full Kanban view
- Open Focus Mode: See your prioritized work
- Manage Milestones: Edit milestone settings
Recent Activity¶
A feed of recent changes in your project:
- Tasks created or updated
- Status changes
- Comments added
- Checklists completed
This helps you stay aware of project progress, especially useful for teams.
Navigation¶
Use the tab bar at the top to switch between views:
